THE DHARMA YOGA TEACHING COURSE
gain the confidence you need to teach transformative yoga classes
If teaching sacred yoga classes is your dharma and you feel this compelling urge to deepen and reframe the way that you practice and the way that you teach, this course is for you. Dharma Yoga is a graceful, inspiring and empowering form of Hatha Raja yoga developed by Sri Dharma Mittra, one of the oldest living yoga masters of today. In Sanskrit, “Dharma” also refers to your soul purpose, your unique frequency and signature, what you came here to do. Follow your bliss.

Does this
sound like you?
You´re itching to incorporate the essence of Dharma Yoga into your practice and the classes you teach? Struggling to adapt your practice and teaching to the life stage you´re in? Feeling stagnated and looking for a spark* (you just feel it could all be so much better)? If so, look no further. I got you!
feel the vibe :)
just imagine…
seriously… visualize this with me for a sec.

-
By learning the Dharma Yoga method, you will not only connect with a beautiful, deep and graceful practice (and learn fun, challenging sequences) but also learn how to orchestrate a similar experience for others.
-
A confident yoga teacher has experience, knows their material well but also embodies their practice on and off the mat. She knows her role in her students´ experience, recognises the honour it is to hold space for others, but also understands she is there simply as a conduit of wisdom. She is a teacher, a mentor, a guide… but she is nobody´s guru. She shows others how to find that guru in themselves.
-
This course is about so much more than Dharma Yoga. It´s about discovering and connecting with your own dharma, your unique teaching style so that you wake up every day knowing exactly how to show up for yourself and others.
-
Whether you are in the maiden, mother, maga or crone season of your life, this course will show you how to work with your lunar cycle but also the natural seasons of your life so that you will never have to feel “divorced” from your yoga like I did. Instead you will be empowered, educated and equipped to embrace these seasons of life and adjust your practice and teaching style to the life stage you´re in.
I´ll share with you everything I wish I knew sooner ❤️

A “booster” is something that supports, improves or increases the effectiveness of something. "Use every tool available!"
✺
"Use every tool available!" ✺
Of all the lessons my dear teacher, Sri Dharma Mittra, gave me, this is the big one that stuck, and a real testament to his ego-less and selfless nature. At its core, Dharma Yoga is not about making you adhere to strict rules and formats. It is about learning how to be receptive to all teachings, lessons and teachers in whatever shape or form they come. The goal is self-realisation. The goal is a deep, deep state of remembrance.
feel the vibe :)
What makes this course different:
Learn the essence of Dharma Yoga
… without committing to a(nother) full-time teacher training. This course is a rich and nutrient-packed container summarising the best of what I have learned from my immersive 200hr and 500hr Life of a Yogi teacher trainings at the Dharma Yoga Center.
Virtual & Self-Paced
Tune in from anywhere and at any time. As a global nomad, my choice to go virtual was to allow as many students as possible to benefit from this wisdom and this training. Apart from our weekly Sunday calls, you decide when, where and how you digest this info.
Multi-Disciplinary Approach
… and perspectives. While Dharma Yoga forms the backbone and “masculine” container for this training, you will also be introduced to the feminine perspective in yoga as well as complementary practices like Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and the concept of Ceremony.
Feeling disconnected, uncertain and uninspired?
I get it. i was there.

Existing Yoga Teachers
INVEST IN A NEW PARADIGM FOR TEACHING
Connect to a lineage and your own inner wisdom. Transform your classes from mundane to sacred. Upon completion of the coursework and evaluation, participants will receive a certification of completion for The Dharma Yoga Teaching Course. For those that are yoga teachers, this will enable you to register with Yoga Alliance for Continuing Education Credits (YACEP).
-
Women in Yoga + Those Who Support Them
ADAPT YOUR PRACTICE TO THE LIFE STAGE YOU´RE IN
While the first half of this course reflects the maiden, solar, spring and summer energies, the second half of this course is where the healing and reframing happens. I know, because I´ve been there. Learn how to weave feminine wisdom, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and ceremonial rituals to transform your practice, not just for them, but for YOU!
-
Passionate, Curious & Multidimensional Yogis

Experience them all in this one course to help deepen your practice, whether or not you already teach or plan to teach in the future. PS - if you do plan to teach, this combo is powerful and transformative.
Now i´m here.

The Dharma Yoga Teaching Course is a Yoga Alliance accredited Continuing Education program, which can be seen as professional development. Whether you are an eager and inspired student wanting to deepen your practice or a certified yoga teacher already, this course will give you the information and experience to begin practicing and teaching in the style of Dharma Yoga on your own.
Meanwhile, a yoga teacher training is a more immersive and intensive experience, usually offered as a 200/500/800hr training with a particular yoga school.
The aim of a yoga teacher training is to teach and certify individuals to become yoga teachers. The aim of a course like this one is to provide added value and skills to existing teachers, or those who wish to deepen their practice.
-
You can call yourself a Dharma Yoga teacher or Hatha Raja teacher.
One thing to note is that only graduates of the Life of a Yogi Teacher Training at the Dharma Yoga Center can officially use the "DYRT" designation as in "Dharma Yoga Registered Teacher". For example, having done my 200hr and 500hr training there, I have an advanced DYRT designation.
As a student of this course, you are learning from a DYRT (me) the Dharma Yoga method and its teachings. There is enough material here to equip you to teach Dharma Yoga style classes and the homework and challenges have been designed to give you the experience and confidence to own that title when you are ready to claim it for yourself ❤️
-
This course is open to anyone with a sincere desire to deepen their practice, learn more about Dharma Yoga and familiarise themselves with its sequencing style and overall class format / practice.
-
Most yoga studios require a minimum 200hr-level teacher training certification. You can think of this as a “Bachelor´s Degree” level in yoga. A 500hr teacher training is considered advanced (think of this like your “Master´s Degree” in yoga).
As this is an 80-hour continuing education course (think: Professional Development), you would still need a separate 200hr TT to be fully certified.
That said - if you are planning to take the 200hr Dharma Yoga teacher training in New York, for example, they require that all students have a minimum of 50 hours education/experience with a Dharma Yoga Registered Teacher (DYRT). As I am a 500hr DYRT, these hours would count towards that requirement should you wish to pursue this path in future :)
-
If you choose to learn via the fully solo, self-paced option (i.e. not part of the group training), a bridge pass is what will allow you to join the next round of live calls to supplement your learning and give you that community experience if you decide you´re missing this later. A bridge pass will cost the difference in what you paid for the self-paced option and the standard group training tuition. In a sense, you would be “upgrading” to the full group training experience. Please get in touch if this is something you´re interested in doing.
Dearest Yogini,
If you’ve made it this far, the pull of your heart is strong and you know how meaningful and purposeful this work is in helping others along their journey.
Joining this training means investing in YOU - your dharma, your gift, your calling - as well as becoming part of a growing community driven to create deeply transformative experiences in a light and playful way. I can’t wait to welcome you.
If you have any questions or want to connect deeper, please book a 1:1 call with me via my scheduling app below. This is your chance to pick my brains, see if we vibe 🥰 , and make triple sure this training is for you.
Come as you are, bring your fave hot drink / smoothie, something to write with, and I´ll see you real soon!

hear it from the “kula”
In Sanskrit, the word kula means “tribe” or “community”. I love this word, and use it to refer to each cohort of this training. Below, you´ll meet some beautiful souls from the September 2024 kula. During this clip from our Closing Ceremony, they´ll share with you some highlights from their journey, how their practice and teaching has transformed, and their biggest takeaways from this course. Enjoy ♥
