Circle of

Women

- Nalini Blossom

“May all mothers know that they are loved. And may all sisters know that they are strong. And may all daughters know that they are worthy. That the circle of women may live on. That the fire of the Goddess may burn on…”

“Make peace with all the women you once were…

Hey there, soul sister.

Welcome back to a state of remembrance. My mission is to create restorative, nurturing and inspiring gatherings for women - to heal, grow and expand in community.

Lay flowers at their feet, offer them incense and honey, and forgiveness. Honour them, and give them your silence. Listen. Bless them, and let them be. For they are the bones of the temple you sit in now. For they are the rivers of wisdom leading you toward the sea. I have been a thousand different women…”

- Emory Hall

  • A Women´s Circle is a gathering of women who come together to co-create a space for mutual healing, support, nourishment and inspiration.

  • My women´s circles are very near and dear to my heart. They are my way of sharing with you everything that I love, my medicine, outside of yoga (even though I still sneak in some restorative poses in there!). Part ceremony, part forum to discuss spirituality, feminine wisdom and day-to-day triumphs and challenges… these women’s circles are a way to remember… all that we have lost, all there is to gain, and who we are at the core. A sacred container to remove our masks, put down our shields and meet each other - and ourselves! - with love, presence and understanding. If you are open, they can be a vehicle for belonging, self-inquiry and transformation.

In short, we open and close the circle with rituals and intention. In between, at the heart of it all you might say, you´ll experience some restorative yoga, aromatherapy, live music / resonance and intimate circle shares. About halfway through, we get up and move (either through dancing, shaking or any other form of release) to allow us to ground and drop into our bodies before journalling (the process of writing is an act of self-reflection). Our final share allows us to go deep, to feel and express our truth, to be heard and held by like-minded soul-sisters also seeking growth and change.

In yoga, there is a word called “satsang” which means “a gathering in truth" (from Sanskrit: sat = truth, sang = company). I like to think of my women´s circles as this - a gathering of women in search of truth. Truth and remembrance.

Tea and chocolates / biscuits are served to keep us cosy and replenished.

A serving of Ceremonial Cacao is also available if you order this extra beforehand (I usually send a group message out before the event to remind people of what to bring and find out how many servings of cacao to make).

  • 1) Be receptive, be open, be curious

Change doesn´t happen unless we are open to receive. Answers don´t come unless we learn to ask questions.

    2) SLR: Share, Listen for and Respect what is true

Share your wisdom, your insight, your experiences, your stories. That is your truth.

Practice active listening when it is somebody else´s turn. Give them a chance to speak their truth.

Respect what is true by acknowledging we all have different contexts, different backgrounds, different perspectives, but the common thread is our desire for a safe and sacred space to express ourselves without fear and judgment.

    3) Honour Confidentiality

What happens in circle, stays in circle.

    4) Practice Self-Care

Showing up is an act of self-care. Allowing yourself to receive is an act of self-care. We co-create this experience together, but during the time that we gather, you also remember to take care of YOU.

    5) Come with an intention
Your intention, your personal motivation for coming, is what gives you direction. It helps to know/feel/sense your intention beforehand so that you can get the most out of each circle, each gathering.

We will discuss these concepts more during our gatherings.

This is for the women longing for sincere connection. The tired mamas. The hustling babes. The soulful women. And most of all, this is for my daughters, Maya and Zoie.

“Here's to strong women! May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.”
